Kevin Johnson locates and retrieves archival, manuscript, newspaper and other special collections from the library's vaults. He is tireless, thorough and takes great pride and pleasure in his ability to satisfy a patron's needs.

Nancy Shader had the primary responsibility for organizing the 1944 Hartford Circus Fire commemoration ceremony, an event attended by over 350 people including more than 150 survivors.

Mel Smith has the unique ability to convey his excellent knowledge of the State Library's books, manuscripts, archival materials and newspapers to patrons.

Joanne Turschman has enthusiasm, interest, dedication and patience in responding to library patrons' requests, despite ever increasing volumes of work.
